In the winter time I find it SO hard to think of stuff to do with my leisure time, because my favorite things to do are usually related to being out of doors. Now that the weather is improving I am trying to take full advantage; trips to the mountains, days in the park, walks, eating out on patios... oh man, I love this weather. Life's so much more exciting when it's warm out!
A couple days ago Scott and I were going through a box of his old keepsakes... and among all the old letters and photos we found an unused Subway gift card...from around 2008...so we took advantage of this little token the past had gifted us! Free meals are always extra enjoyable.
We went into the city yesterday to get groceries, but instead ended up going out to eat (hence the gift card) and then picking up our friend, Calvin. We headed to the park and threw a frisbee around for a couple hours. It was so, so nice...the weather was perfect, and someone was strumming on their guitar in the background. After frisbee we went over to Starbucks and got some frappes (the Chocolatey Chip is divine by the way, like drinking a cookie!) ...sat outside, watched the traffic flow by... thank heavens for this weather.
Now that I think of it, the point of me starting this blog post was actually to show off a few little crafts I've been working on this morning... here's a fun little project that you can do: toothpick dolls! I found out how to make these last year via Pinterest, and then I tried making a few when I was babysitting my cousins. They're easy, fun, and make for a good little hobby. All you need is embroidery floss, toothpicks, and tacky glue! I'll show you some of my older ones as well as some I made today!

Scott says the pictures don't do them justice...so they do happen to be cuter in real life... just saying.
I had made a few for my missionary sister, and sent them to her last Christmas, but alas, I have no pictures of them! Anyways, there you go.
Stay happy!
